The Life Cycle of a Movement tends to be defined by specific steps.

1. The Core Concept

An inspiring figure or coaches propose a new and transcendent idea offering a solution for struggling players.

Thus we find ourselves. They’re getting ready to challenge the establishment down in Brisbane. Tensions are rising. Signs of trouble appear from the out-houses. 2. The Honeymoon Phase

Cult leaders offer a new start, optimism ahead, camaraderie, salvation within a community with shared faith in the method.

What did it represent initially? Players celebrating feeling good. Body art. Strength. Focus. Confident masculinity. Oh sure, The team insist it’s not a real term, amusingly because if it doesn’t exist, what did we see?

But we know its essence. It’s the batsman executing a stroke so outrageous it has to be pixelated. It’s the thrill of the leader in his final form, a look that says: pensive Nordic god, rugged appearance, untamed style, so authentically Modern Savage you almost imagine to notice and find him positioned on the ground shirtless and cradling a wild salmon.

It’s the opener continuing to have permission speaking publicly, appearing as a joyful figure formally attired, expressing thoughts like we’re breaking down traditions. Certainly, the energy, for a significant period, was entirely positive.

3. Expansion Period

Growth phase. Togetherness strengthened by rote learning of key phrases. These beliefs can appear contradictory as a loyalty check.

Is it just me? The criticism, the outrage, the feeling of letdown post-defeat appears excessive, too much. The performance was poor on the field, as they often do in Australia.
